Gem Spotlight - Lincoln

Gem Spotlight - Lincoln

8 August is known as International Cat Day. To celebrate, we interviewed Lincoln, the cat of Gembridge team member Jenny. Keep reading to see what he had to say about cat life, family life and his connection to Gembridge.

Hello, my name is Lincoln.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a Siamese cat, and I am 15. My mum works at Gembridge, and I have attended many Zoom meetings – either in front of the camera (and mum) or talking loudly in the background.

Do you have any nicknames?

I have heaps. Some include: Linc (pronounced ‘link’), Lincy, LincyMan, Kitty, Kittyboy, Kittycat, Pussycat, Catters, MeowMeow and Buddy.

What are you passionate about?

Food. Naps. Laps. Being carried. Talking.

I love my new heated mat in winter.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Sleeping on my new heated mat. Finding sunny spots around the house to do more sleeping in. Seeking out a lap or shoulder to sit and/or sleep on.

What’s the best thing about being a cat?

I can meow orders at my humans, and they do whatever I want.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

I am the proud big brother of two younger, human sisters.

What does your family love best about you?

That we have such good conversations – I am a really good talker and I always make sure I’m heard loud and clear. I answer to my name and when I’m talked to or when I’m wandering around the house looking for attention.

Thanks for sharing with us, Lincoln. And happy International Cat Day!
