Career evaluation: How to tell if it’s time to change jobs... and what to do next
Attracting and Retaining Gems
If you have tried to recruit recently and found it tough going, you’re not alone. Recruiters and hiring managers are noticing a candidate shortage. Whilst there seems to be many roles to fill within organisations due to growth, restructure, or staff resignation, it’s increasingly difficult to find the talent to fill them.

Poll...Do You Think Exit Interviews Are Worthwhile
The Art of The Exit Interview
When an employee decides to leave their workplace, most times there is a handshake, ‘thanks for your efforts and best of luck’. Perhaps (pre Covid) a farewell lunch or company assembly. One of the more important aspects for both the employer and employee, and one that if it is done, is usually poorly done, is to undertake an exit interview.

Recruitment.... has it bounced back?
Despite the ups, downs and lockdowns, we are encouraged by the level of enquiries we receive about engaging us to lead recruitment assignments in the ‘for purpose’ sector. We note a higher demand than this time last year for leadership roles, particularly across fundraising and marketing. Does this mean recruitment has bounced back or some balance is returned?
Do you have EOFY burnout?
Burnout can arise in any sector. In ‘for purpose’ sector, we see that stress can creep into the lives of people who spend their their time working extremely hard to make a difference for vulnerable families and children, animals, cancer, medical research and other important causes that make a significant social or environmental impact.

The Job Search - Anxiety or Relief?
Looking for work to most people is a mix of excitement, anxiety, nervousness and relief. We spend so long with our work colleagues that the decision to move on from them can feel akin to a divorce. Unless the workplace is truly toxic, our feelings of loyalty can be hard to shake. However, we all have different motivators and ambitions for growth, and when these are no longer aligned in the workplace, the relationship will have come to an end.
